While my room at Mercure Liverpool was clean, tidy and well maintained. I was given no Accor Gold welcome or told how I could redeem my welcome drinks, which meant I didn’t redeem them. I was overcharged at breakfast, when I queried it she didn’t correct it. Even though when checking out I was told that reception had let the breakfast staff know they were wrong. Generally staff seem geared towards providing as little value as possible, even if you are eligible for that value.
Big let down was the noise from the ABBA tribute band late in the night which could be heard on the 9th floor.
