Just one thing to mention, there was an odour (sewerage like) smell coming from the bathroom in the second room I stayed in and I mentioned this to staff, who said it would be due to the drainage.

Ground floor room needs better sound proofing. G04 room is next carpark entry door which made noises every time someone enters or exits. Including when staff entered very early each morning, Sometimes talking to each other as they entered into the storeroom opposite G04. The hallway ECHOED their voices quite clearly and loudly We could even hear the people at the reception entrance talking. I noticed that the entrance door to the room G04 has a large gap under the door which allows a lot of noise into the room. I placed a towel across the gap to dampen the noise, but still very noisy. G04 also has a door linking the room next door. This needs more sound proofing as well as we unfortunately had to here the guests in G03 having a late night verbal swearing argument for over an hour through the linking door. I wasn't going intervene. The road noise was occasionally quite loud as well. We both have slight deafness. I will point out that the restaurant and staff were very good. And, I also tolerate certain things before making any complaints. However, I think that this amount of noise disrupted what was meant to be a pleasant weekend. If we were to stay there again I would insist on an upper level room, hoping that they would be less noisy.

I had a wonderful stay at The Sebel Brisbane Margate Beach. The location is fantastic, directly across from the waterfront, with beautiful views and a relaxed coastal atmosphere. My room was clean, comfortable and well presented, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. It was a lovely place to unwind, enjoy a walk along the foreshore and explore the Redcliffe area. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would happily stay again.

Stayed this time on level 2 beachfront, beds are always comfy to sleep on. Unfortunately we had a problem with the air con not working through the night luckily the fan made things better for sleeping told reception the next morning and they said that it had been playing up, hopefully they do something about this time and get it fixed. We had to change rooms to the 3rd floor.
