Stayed for a few days during a business trip. What surprised me was the size of the room given how typically in Switzerland you get tiny rooms. Here it was spacious, properly furnished and included the whole fridge/microwave/mini kitchen for those staying an extended period. Good breakfast with proper orange juice (even if you make it yourself) and slight variations on a daily basis. All in all, excellent location, helpful reception team and amazing value for money.

It was the perfect studio!! Provided excellent service and a large spacious room with plenty storage spaces and a very modern bathroom. Lots of windows with a lovely view of Basel! They also provided us with a pass for free transport around Basel and to the airport - we used it so much!! Public transport around Basel is amazing! Everything about my stay was perfect and couldn't have asked for more!!

Rooms are clean, nice and modern. The kitchenette is nice to have. Gym is adequate to get a workout. Breakfast options are varied, and the seating area is comfortable. Hotel is central and easy to catch the trollies or the train station. One improvement is to add a lobby computer/printer for people that need it during business travel.

..... the Room Ventilation manual could be improved and so could the system as well with an upgrade to Full Air Conditioning. I had to use the old fashioned Window Method to get sufficent cooling in the room at night. Otherwise no faults and comfortable stay.

Dear Mr. Ramseyer, Thank you for your kind words regarding your stay with us. We appreciate your feedback about the room ventilation and take note of your suggestion for an upgrade to a full air conditioning system. We continuously strive to enhance our services and facilities to ensure a comfortable experience for our guests. Best regards, Aparthotel Adagio Basel City

Christina L. L. C. Solo - Confirmed reviews ALL

This is my first stay at the adagio aparthotel. The room was large. Considering how expensive Basel is, it was useful to have a kitchenette, though this was not well equipped. Although I stayed for 6 nights, there is no cleaning. There isn’t a broom or a mop either. I felt that they should at least change the towels and tea towel. The breakfast was good though after 6 breakfasts, it was a bit boring. There is no air conditioning (only central ventilation). It was very hot even at nights. I feel that there shld be written instructions provided: eg how to use the laundry; the dishwasher; the oven etc. The staff were generally lovely and helpful.

We sincerely thank you for taking the time to share your experience at the Adagio Aparthotel and are delighted that you appreciated the size of your room as well as the friendliness and helpfulness of our team. Regarding housekeeping: as we are an aparthotel, cleaning services are provided once a week, in line with the standard operating model for this type of accommodation. However, had you required extra towels or linens during your stay, you could easily have requested them at reception, and our team would have been happy to assist you. We are also sorry to hear that you found the kitchenette insufficiently equipped. We have taken your feedback on board, as our guests' comfort and independence are very important to us. Regarding the room temperature, we fully understand that the heat may have made your nights less comfortable. Our ventilation system is centralized, and we do not have individual air conditioning units. We regret that this impacted your stay, especially during periods of high temperatures. Your suggestion to provide written instructions for the various appliances—specifically the laundry facilities, dishwasher, and oven—is also very pertinent. We will share this with our team to explore possible improvements. Finally, we are pleased that you enjoyed our breakfast, although we understand that after six days, the selection may have seemed repetitive. Thank you again for your constructive feedback. It helps us identify areas for improvement while continuing to provide high-quality service to our guests. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back during a future visit to Basel.
