Our Accommodation, Room 230, was in a lovely location with stunning views. I awoke each morning to watch the sun rise over the vineyards. As Platinum members we enjoyed the good spread offered to all at breakfast. We did avail ourselves to a game of golf which was a lot of fun. We would highly recommend the Resort if seeking a location that is handy to all the Valley has to offer. We shopped in Tanunda and also dined there one evening. Dining at the Resort was very good but also a little expensive if you are only wanting a small meal. Unfortunately one evening it became obvious that there was a problem in the Kitchen as we waited for 1hr40mins for our meal. It was the first night of a new menu and it would have been good to have had more communication re the hold ups. Fortunately though, there were 6 of us dining so we were able to pass there time chatting, although hungry!

I stayed at the barossa valley resort and ate at the onsite restaurant. I am coeliac and made it very clear when booking and ordering. The food gave me a severe reaction. The staff took a soft drink off the bill as an apology for causing a medical episode then the executive chef rang me the next day and flat out said "the food was gluten free so I must be wrong" and "I dont know what to tell you". It was the only food I had eaten the whole day. Very disapointed.

Our room had a sewage bad smell. We had to pack up after we had unpacked, carry our luggage around 500 metres, be reallocated another room (lost an hour of our stay!) but did not receive a free room upgrade even though the resort was only half full. (and being a member and spending $2,000 the previous 3 nights at Sofitel club room in Adelaide!). Members are definately looked after. Terrible staff

In close proximity to all tourist attractions in the Barossa rooms were nice and clean was a little disappointed with the amenities. I thought they might have an indoor pool or a sauna or a gym none of which they had at this hotel.
