We had a recent 2 night stay at Ibis Styles before we had to fly back to the mainland. Great view from the room we had overlooking the bay and wharf area. Easy accessible location to everything we needed to get to within the city. We only had one slight issue in our room and that was the bathroom fan not working to extract the steam from the shower. I'm also not sure why disability parking costs so much in and around Tasmania in general, it was charged at $25 per day for their secure underground lot. We don't pay for disability parking at all, anywhere on the mainland. One of the elevators stopped working whilst we were there but overall we had a great stay. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We found the accommodation clean and well maintained and if we need to return to Hobart we will definitely consider staying there again as it's centrally located.

We had a connecting room which was an excellent idea. The rooms, bathrooms and bedding were very clean. Beds comfortable. The indoor pool was an excellent idea for us after a long day especially for the children. The Asian restaurant downstairs served excellent food and we returned a couple of times. Excellent Coffee available to purchase all day in the restaurant area. The breakfast was well presented with many options. Eggs cooked to your liking.. Fresh water fountain available in the lobby area. Excellent location, walking distance to Salamanca market and Battery Point. Will definitely stay at the Ibis again.

I found hair lump (bigger than a 10 cents coin) attached to my bath towel when drying my body after shower. My husband went to complain to the Reception. David, the duty manager, only asked housekeeping to change towels for us but we refused as we have our showers. The following morning I checked out and complained to the Front Desk Manager, Andrew. He offered next time room upgrade or breakfast. Both are irrelevant to us. He even denied the hygiene issue is due to the machines, not human. I questioned if machine delivered the towels into the room. Anyone is responsible for checking and the cleanliness? How could ibis get a 9 high score?

Stay was comfortable, small issue with shower in that I couldn't use the wall mount head without cold water constantly dribbling from overhead rain shower head and heating didn't seem to be working as well as previous stays, I had to get the extra blanket out during the night to feel warm.

I chose this venue because of the gym, but was disappointed that I couldn't gain access until 6.30am despite requesting access earlier. When you are away for work, for 2 weeks, and you cannot access the gym, it heavily impacts your mental health. Not sure why I couldn't access it from 6am.
