The hotel’s location is very convenient. However, heating has been an issue during each stay. The hotel staff explains that maintenance work is being conducted in various areas of the property and recommends turning off the thermostat. Instead, they simply provide a space heater. I recognize this is an older property however it would appear they would make the necessary updates to their HAV system, especially considering the nightly rate of the room.

After an initial hiccup with our room and bedding staff acted swiftly to resolve the issue and the rest of our stay was perfect - all staff are lovely helpful and fun. It’s a superb place and so well located slap bang in the middle of all activity and entertainment. The bar is unreal, lots of activity and immense fun.

Three couples booked Princess Cruise with hotel state in Boston and also Quebec city in Boston two or three couples had very nice upgrading rooms. Well we the third couple had a standard room which took away from an extra great experience.

The Fairmont Copley Plaza is in a great location and within walking distance of many of Boston’s main attractions, restaurants, and shops. The lobby is absolutely beautiful and really gives you that historic, elegant Fairmont experience. The staff was also exceptional throughout our stay—friendly, welcoming, and attentive.
Unfortunately, the room itself did not live up to the same standard. For the price you pay to stay at a Fairmont, I expected the room to be impeccable, and that was not the case. I completely understand wanting to preserve the historic character of the hotel, but there is a difference between historic charm and a room simply feeling old and in need of upkeep.
The room felt dated and somewhat dingy, and several of the finishes and furnishings looked like they had not been updated or refreshed in quite some time. It was disappointing because after walking through such a beautiful lobby and receiving such great service, I expected that same level of quality once we got to our room.
Overall, the location, staff, and common areas are wonderful, but I do think the guest rooms need some attention and updating to better reflect the price point and the standard you expect from a Fairmont property.

My only complaint is that when we got there, we had difficulty checking in, but I acknolwedge the fact that we requested a room upgrade so that changed what room we booked, but otherwise it was a wonderful experience.

We stayed for our wedding weekend and had a fabulous time. The suite is huge and was perfect for getting ready with lots of friends and family. The location can't be beat and everyone, especially those working at the Long Bar, are fantastic.
