Dear Sergio It seems it had been quite some time since your last visit to our hotel, and we are sorry to hear that some of the changes have not met your expectations. Regarding the airport shuttle, we would like to clarify that this service was discontinued six and a half years ago, so unfortunately it is not a recent change. Nevertheless, the hotel remains very well connected to both Madrid-Barajas Airport and the city centre. The Metro and bus stops are less than 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel, there is a taxi rank right outside our entrance, and we also have an Uber kiosk in the hotel lobby to make arranging transportation as easy as possible for our guests. As for the appearance of the hotel, we completed our renovation three years ago. We are sorry that the decoration and design did not suit your taste. The ceiling in the rooms is actually part of our design concept, featuring a cloud-filled sky intended to create a relaxing atmosphere and encourage rest. We understand that tastes and expectations can differ, and we regret that the changes made to the hotel did not provide the experience you were hoping for. Very disappointed, no free airport transportation anymore, all unnecessary changes are for the worse. Never 'll be back. Carpet and ceiling looks like the place is under construction.

I needed a comfortable but not extravagant stay on my last night in Madrid with my adult son. There was a moldy ceiling in the bathroom, hair on the floor, pink stains on the bedding and no closet. Barely any walking space for two people. The breakfast was basic and I opted out. I did not love my stay there.

The room is the smallest most basic room I have ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in many as in older couple. We had 2 tiny 3 kilo dogs and it was not big enough for 2 suitcases and 2 tiny dog beds. You can’t stay there unless just to sleep

Overall it was a good stay at the hotel. We checked in at around 11:00pm which went smoothly, but we were just handed our keys and I would've appreciated a bit more information about my stay (for example what time breakfast is, when to checkout, etc.) but not a big deal. The breakfast was really nice with a wide selection of things. There were small issues with the room's sink and shower leaking a bit when in use, but I reported it to reception when checking out and they made a note of it. One other minor thing is that in the first paragraph of the description of ibis Madrid Aeropuerto Barajas it says that you can "play Arcade or Flipper, open 24/7". It turns out the pinball machine was Ridley Scott's 'Alien' themed which was cool, but unfortunately it was out of service, which I only found out about after asking reception if I was doing something wrong. This wouldn't have really bothered me if it weren't one of the first features listed on their own website. If and when they do get the pinball machine up and running again, they said it's free to play, so that'd be cool.
